Children's Worship

Children of all ages are very welcome in church on Sundays:

During the Sung Eucharist, there is a

Sunday Club on the 1st, 3rd and 5th

Sundays of the month for those of

primary school age for teaching/

children’s activities while younger

children are also welcome

accompanied by an adult. The

children go to the vestry during the

first hymn and return for communion/

blessing with the adults at the

appropriate time within the service.

On the second Sunday, children and

families are particularly encouraged

to attend the whole service which is

designed to be family orientated. On

the 3rd Sunday there is a half hour

special Family Service at 3.30pm.

****Toddlers are welcome to play on the carpeted area set aside at the west end of the church where soft toys are available. These arrangements allow accompanying adults to participate in the service.

****Of course on festive occasions Christmas, (Crib Service/Christingle Service); Easter etc. there are special services which are popular besides the themed Children’s Workshops held from time to time.

St Martins  has close links with local primary schools - Red Hill CE Primary School - a Voluntary Controlled Foundation School where weekly assemblies are held and Fort Royal Community School.
