Festival of Christmas Trees at St Martin’s

8th December 2018 to 6th January 2019

Church open every day

Following the recent tradition at St Martin’s, the church will be full of trees in place for the Christmas festivities.  The main tree near the altar extends to a great height with lights that twinkle and a star on the top.  Around the church are numerous trees, too many to count accurately, all decorated according to a theme.  Church committees, primary schools, groups and charities besides local organisations have donated a tree and decked it out with messages, baubles, tinsel etc.

The Missionary Christmas Tree placed near the west door encourages church members and visitors to add a greeting then donate to a charity of their choice. Greetings are extended to friends within the parish.  Local schools are visiting St Martin’s during the festive season and the church is open daily from 10.00am till dusk for everyone to enjoy the decorations at this special time of the year in the church’s calendar – Unto us a Child is born.........
