At the time St Martin’s Church was being built a hundred years ago, the British Afternoon Tea was a popular institution in all fine houses, as well as hotels and elegant palm court tearooms, where light salon music was played, generally by a piano trio.

On Saturday 22nd May over a hundred guests enjoyed an elegant sumptuous tea, served using the best bone china and table linen, With Champagne, fine entertainment, a Grand Prize Draw and some great surprises – a truly memorable event was held in our handsome Edwardian Church building., Please click on the thumbnails below, click again, then select 'download file'.
