Visit to Oberammergau and the Austrian Tyrol August 2010

In August, a group of 51 people went on a very special trip organised by McCabe Pilgrimages and led by Ro Jackson and the Revd. Tony Wherry. Along with 25 people from St Martin’s, there were representatives from all the Worcester South East Team churches and several other churches in Worcester (St Barnabas, Pump Street Methodist, the United Reformed Church and the Cathedral), along with some friends from Hampshire and Wiltshire. The main focus for the trip was to attend the world famous Passion Play in the small Bavarian village of Oberammergau. The group was able to stay one night in the village, and for the rest of the week they were based in the comfortable family-run Arzlerhof hotel in the village of Arzl, in Austria’s Pitztal district.
