Our much-loved Organist and Director of Music, Trevor Tipple MBE is retiring at the end of the year, after 53 years in the post. He is only the third organist to hold this position since the Mission Church opened in 1904. He was appointed in 1966 and has also taught the organ. He has been closely involved with the blind and partially sighted students NEW College Worcester for many years and a number of Organ Scholars have progressed to read music at University.
Trevor Tipple is also an expert in organ re-building and restoration having owned a company in Shrub Hill, Worcester. He has maintained more than 300 organs across the UK.
He will be much missed, not only for his organ playing and choir
directing, but for all the work he has done over the years in refurbishing, enlarging and maintaining the splendid organ At St Martin's. Trevor’s last service will be the 10am Sung Eucharist on Sunday 30 December. Don’t miss it!
