St Martin's Church
LIVING THE GOSPEL IN OUR COMMUNITY
ST MARTIN'S NEW OPENING HOURS
St Martin's will reopen for public worship on Sunday 9 August. From that date we shall have one service per Sunday:
10am Eucharist (lasting for about 45 minutes)
Seating will be rearranged in the Nave to ensure social distancing, and worshippers will be guided to their seats by sidespersons. (We regret that for the time being the toilets will not be open.)
Following government guidelines, it is required that those gathering for worship wear face coverings.
Anyone showing symptoms of coronavirus, or individuals who are self-isolating, should not attend church due to the risk that they pose to others.
We shall not be able to sing, but the organ will play before, during, and after the service.
Communion will be received in one kind only (i.e., only the bread, not the wine).
You are most welcome to come and join us.
If you wish to do so, please familiarise yourself with the guidance issued for those wishing to attend public worship. The information is found by clicking the link below.
The order of service will be available below. Please bring a printed copy with you, or a smartphone or tablet on which to view it. Please do not leave your printed copies in the building after the service. (A small number of printed copies will be available in the building for those without access to computers.)
For those unable to attend, for whatever reason, services will be live-streamed on Facebook. From 9 August you will be able to view services on the church Facebook page by clicking the button below. Each service can be watched live or later. Services will remain available to watch for one week. (You do not need a Facebook account to view services on Facebook.)

Why We Love St Martin's
In light of the Government guidance around non-essential contact, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have issued advice that public worship is suspended until further notice. Consequently, there will be no services at St Martin's Church for the time being. Regrettably, the church building will also have to be kept closed.
All other public gatherings run by the church are suspended until further notice.
If you need to contact us for pastoral support or prayer the website will be monitored, so please do be in touch. We remain committed to serving the needs of the parish.
We shall monitor the situation and update the website as appropriate.
THIS IS US . . .
