Giving to St Martin's

Supporting Ministry and Mission

The important work of the St Martin's Church in the parish is only possible because of the generous financial gifts of donors. Please consider giving to support our ongoing Christian service of the local community.

You could leave a legacy to St Martin's

Are you a taxpayer?

  • If you are a taxpayer then St Martin's Church can claim the tax back on any donations you make. This makes a big difference to us so please let us know.

  • If you are a regular giver then either email us or download the form here, complete it, and return it to the Church Office.

  • If you are making a one-off donation then please put it in one of the envelopes you can find in the pews and complete the details on the back of the envelope.

1. A standing order with your bank

You can set up a standing order with your bank so that a regular amount goes out each month on whichever day of the month works best for you. You can delay, increase, decrease, or skip donations to fit with your financial circumstances. For more information please contact us.

2. An anonymous envelope scheme

Here you will receive a set of bespoke envelops with a number printed on that us unique to you. This will allow you to put a donation into the offering whenever you wish without anyone other than the Planned Giving Recorder being able to find out who gave the money. For more information please contact us.

3. The Parish Giving scheme

Here you can set up a regular donation of your choosing that will be taken from your bank account on the first day of each month. Each year you will be asked if you are happy for the gift to increase a small amount (the precise amount will be specified) to keep up with inflation. This prompts you to review your giving each year. For more information please contact us.

3. The Parish Giving scheme

The Parish Giving Scheme is a twenty-first-century solution to offset one of the greatest threats to parish income, which is static giving. Donations made through this scheme use a Direct Debit. This can be made on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.  Each year you will be asked if you are happy for your gift to increase a small amount in line with inflation. This prompts you to review your giving annually. For more information click the link or email us.
