About the Event

Harry Scott-Burt cello

A solo recital by this brilliantly talented multi prize-winning 16-year-old.

Harry is no stranger to our Coffee Concert regulars, who have been following his career since he first appeared in the Scott-Burt Trio at the age of eight. He is now principal cello of the National Youth Orchestra, which he has chosen to support at this Coffee Concert.

His programme contrasts the sublime music of Bach with the fun, Spanish dance music of Cassado:

J S Bach Suite in D major

Gaspar Cassado Suite for solo cello

Come and enjoy great music in an informal atmosphere with good coffee or tea and delicious homemade cake!

FREE ENTRY with donations to Harry's chosen charity:

National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain Registered charity no 290598

More about Harry Scott-Burt:

Harry studies cello at Junior Royal Academy of Music and is a music scholar at Uppingham School. He is also an accomplished pianist and organist, and studies composition and conducting. He has just become principal cello of the National Youth Orchestra.

This year Harry made his professional chamber music debut with the Waverley Ensemble at the Haslemere Festival, and his concerto debut at the Battle Proms concerts, accompanied by the New English Concert Orchestra.

We’re delighted to welcome him again to our Coffee Concerts.
