About the Event
A musical coffee morning for charity - live music in an informal atmosphere, with good coffee, speciality teas and delicious home-made cakes and biscuits.
Regular fans of our Coffee Concerts will remember Harry - the brilliantly talented cellist who first appeared in the Scott-Burt Trio at the age of 8, and returned every year for 5 years until his commitments at Junior Royal Academy of Music and the National Children's Orchestra had to take precedence. Now aged 14 and a multiple prize winner, Harry is principal cello in NCO Main Orchestra and taking his diploma (DipABRSM) in December.
We're delighted that he's agreed to return to us for a solo recital, when he will play music by Bach, Beethoven, Dvorak and Martinu, with a little extra surprise up his sleeve. He will be accompanied on the piano by his dad, Dr Nicholas Scott-Burt.
Free entry with donations to Benslow Music Instrument Loan Scheme. Harry continues to support this excellent UK charity which has been able to provide him with some of the different sized cellos he has needed while growing up.
Programme:
Dvorak - Rondo in G minor, Op 94
Beethoven - Sonata in A, Op 69, 1st movement
Bach - Suite No 4 in E flat, BWV 1010, Ist movement - Prelude
Martinu - Variations on a theme of Rossini
