About the Event

Our first Tiny Tunes since February 2020 takes place during the prestigious Three Choirs Festival.

The Lilliput Duo presents'Atlantic Drift'

Kate Fawcett and Kate Skeet bring their violins and violas to perform a lucky dip of tunes from the British Isles and the Americas - including some which have migrated across the ocean!

The programme includes Atlantic Drift by Judith Weir and Postcards by Errolyn Wallen, the lockdown hits Somewhere Over the Rainbow and The Wellerman, plus a wide variety of folk tunes from both sides of the Atlantic.

Come to dance, clap, sway, sing along - or just to listen and be soothed.

Kate Fawcett and Kate Skeet met sharing an orchestral desk almost two decades ago and haven’t quite been able to shake each other off since! A common passion for making live classical music accessible to very young children (and their very tired parents) led to their first performance as a duo, playing Telemann’s Gulliver Suite at the Cheltenham Music Festival and The Lilliput Duo was born. They enjoy introducing families to a wide range of music, presented in bite-size chunks and with plenty of opportunities to join in. Their two previous appearances at Tiny Tunes have enthralled tired parents and energetic tinies with their imaginative presentation.

Doors open at 10am, with a pop-up café serving coffee, teas, juices and home-made cakes and biscuits (including gluten free and vegan options) - to enjoy before or after the half-hour concert.

All welcome, including pre-schoolers and older siblings.

Adults £6; children free.

Tickets available from the Three Choirs Box Office: 01452 768 928
